My leadership responsibilities (from Leading from the Middle - MOE - pg12) are:
- Improve outcomes for all students - with a particular focus on priority learners
- Create the conditions for effective teaching, learning and curriculum delivery
- Explore and promote the use of ICT and e-learning to open up new ways of connecting, sharing and learning
- Develop schools as learning communities
- Build networks within and beyond their schools to enhance learning and achievement
- Develop others as leaders
FOCUSING MY INQUIRY
Looking back at my big question and considering the scanning phase these are the areas that I will FOCUS my attention to:
- Learner Agency - personalised learning, articulating learning, collaborative learning and sharing their learning with others
- Collaborative teaching - team teaching and modern learning environments
- e-learning - digital collaboration, access to devices, systems that work well, online sharing of information, equity of device use and BYOD
- Leadership - how will I as a leader implement and lead these changes? Why should others change? How can I help and support others?
